A few hints
Unless you are roasting vegetables cut most vegetables into small pieces and place near the bottom of the crockpot.
Carrots should be covered by liquid.
Meat generally cooks faster than most vegetables.
Temperatures in a crockpot are usually 200 degrees for just below boiling and 300 degrees for high.
Meats will be flavoured from the vegetables that they are cooked with.
It isn't necessary to stir while cooking on a low heat. On high heat you may need to stir occasionally for better distribution of flavours.
Crockpots are great for making gravy (1/4 cup flour or cornflour to 1/4 cup water) - turn to high when it comes to the boil (15mins and it's ready).
Excess liquid can be reduced by removing the cover and setting the crockpot on high for about 45 minutes.
Recipes cooked on low will be juicer.
Roasts can be cooked on low with a small amount of water.
Do not pour in cold water if the insert is hot.
Do not place your stoneware insert on a stove or burners.

Cleaning and caring for your Crock-Pot
Never submerge your crockpot unit in water.
Your crockpot has a removable stoneware insert and was designed that way for easier cleaning.
Remember the insert is generally ceramic and like most crockery will not withstand sudden temperature changes and will break if knocked on a hard surface/metal.
I know you will already know your appliance and the uses it recommends but in saying that most stoneware inserts and the lids are dishwasher safe.
Do not put frozen foods or very cold foods into a heated crockpot.
